Life V3s Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner Review ( 2023)

Life V3s Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner Review– How much vacuum cleaner do you actually require? The iLife V3s Pro robot vacuum cleaner understands what it’s good at and sticks to it: pet hair. While it lacks fancier features like smartphone control, the $160 V3s Pro is an excellent value for multi-pet households that want to spend less on cleaning and more money on chew toys.

If you have thick rugs in your home, you should look somewhere else, but if your flooring is mostly hardwood or tile with a few slender rugs, this is the best robot vacuum under $200. Let’s see at details in the article about Life V3s Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner Review below.

The iLife V3s Pro resembles its sibling, the iLife V5s Pro, with the exception of a white plastic cover with white and black bumpers all around the sides. The small elevated lip on the front of the vac, measuring 3 inches high, prevents the V3s Pro from entering areas where it could become stuck.

Two three-spoke brushes which spin when the vacuum is turned on sit on either side of the device near the front, loosening debris and directing it toward the robot’s gullet. The V3s Pro, like other iLife robot vacuums, lacks a spinning roller brush in favor of a 3-inch suction opening that directs debris into the dustbin.

Under the white cover, a lunchbox-style dustbin with a bright yellow handle sits in the center of the vac. While the lack of a roller brush simplifies cleaning and maintenance, we actually noticed that the V3s Pro struggled to pick up bigger debris on a low-pile carpet.

Life V3s Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner Review- Setup

The iLife V3s Pro, like some other non-connected robot vacuums, is simple to set up. All we had to do, just like with the V5s Pro, was plug in the base, flip the power switch, as well as charge it. We like how the power adapter works both with the base and the robot; it’s a nice little backup plan in case the family dog steals the small plastic base.
The iLife V3s Pro has 3 cleaning modes: whole floor, edge, and spot cleaning, which has sent the vacuum spinning in a spiral as it focuses on a specific area.

Despite the fact that the iLife V3s Pro is a low-cost vacuum, we were blown away by how well it cleaned our hardwood floors. In edge-cleaning mode, the machine picked up tiny, wonky pieces of onion skin as it cautiously wound itself around our baseboards. It approached walls as well as obstacles with the same caution as its V5s Pro sibling. Though not always flawless, the slow obstacle strategy reminded us of more expensive vacuums, such as the iRobot Roomba i7.

Without hesitation, the V3s Pro hoovered up a large line of breadcrumbs we peppered horizontally into its path. The breadcrumbs were gone after a few passes of the vacuum.

The iLife V3s Pro performed admirably in our lab tests. On the hardwood test, the robot picked up 100% of our pet hair, earning a perfect score. The V3s Pro was the only robot vacuum that passed this test flawlessly of all of the robot vacuums we evaluated in all price ranges.

When it came to pet hair, the robot vac was absolutely outstanding on the carpet, picking up 99% of it, only a hair (pardon the pun) lesser than the iLife V5s Pro’s 99.5% pickup rate. The device performed significantly better than the Eufy RoboVac 11s, which only removed 75% of pet hair from the carpet.

Overall, the iLife V3s Pro performed admirably on our hardwood floor test results, picking up 99.8% of the Cheerios, kitty litter, and pet hair that we threw at it. That is the best average hardwood test result of any robot vacuum we checked. The V3s Pro performed slightly better on the carpet, cleaning up a median of 94.2% of the debris. The Shark Ion R85, on the other hand, was the only vacuum that outperformed it, with a 97.2% carpet-cleaning average.

The iLife V3s Pro cleaned the lab in an average of 1 hour, 31 minutes, and 1 second. This quick bot outperformed the iLife V5s Pro by more than 9 minutes, but stalled behind the Eufy RoboVac 11’s typical cleaning time of 1 hour, 18 mins, as well as the Shark Ion R85 (1:01). The device was also 40 mins slower than the average robot vacuum time of 1 hour and 50 seconds.

While the iLife V3s Pro is a powerful cleaner, we found the logic behind its actions to be inconsistent. The machine was especially fond of cleaning our foyer or under our couch on a regular basis. Even when we cajoled it into our kitchen to clean, it only made one pass before returning to the foyer. Similarly, when we utilized the remote control to return the robot to its dock, it drifted around for a while before becoming stuck in a pattern under the couch. Fortunately, we were able to retrieve it by using the remote’s arrow controls.

The iLife V3s Pro generated 64.1 decibels in our lab, which is mildly louder than both the 62.5 decibels created by the Eufy RoboVac 11s and the relatively speaking quiet 59.9 decibels generated by the iLife V5s Pro. We noticed it as well. Over the din of the vac, it was difficult to hear the scheming as well as dealing on “Billions.”

The bottom line

If you have pets and are on a tight budget, the iLife V3s Pro is the ideal robot vacuum for you. Even if you’re not on a tight budget, the iLife V3s Pro is an outstanding product at $160. While it does not send notifications to your smartphone or allow you to clean only specific rooms, the V3s Pro excels at what is likely the best quality in a robot vacuum: real cleaning ability.

The lower profile of the Eufy RoboVac 11 allows it to travel under furniture more easily, but the V3s Pro provides higher effectiveness for less money. Without hesitation from our Life V3s Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner Review, the iLife V3s Pro is unquestionably one of the best low-cost robot vacuums on the market.
